An English professor in southwest Florida, Leonard Owens III is currently completing an MFA in Writing with a Creative Nonfiction emphasis at Lindenwood University. His previous writing has been published by South Atlantic Review, the tiny journal, The Talon Review, and others. These days, he mostly writes about growing up in and around Daytona Beach, Florida. In 2018, he won the South Atlantic Modern Language Association's Graduate Student Creative Writing award for his essay “A Floridian Boyhood, from Five to Ten.”
